Biztimize HR Overtime Management provides a structured, auditable process for recording extra hours worked, obtaining the appropriate approval, and ensuring compensation is calculated correctly in payroll.

What You Can Do

  • Submit overtime requests at the employee or manager level, specifying date, hours, and reason — before or after the overtime is worked.
  • Route requests through a two-step approval (team lead → HR Manager) so overtime is always sanctioned before it is paid.
  • Apply configurable overtime rates (1.5×, 2×, or flat) based on day type (weekday, weekend, holiday).
  • Feed approved overtime hours directly into the Payroll engine so no manual adjustments are required at month-end.
  • Report on overtime by employee, department, and month to identify teams where persistent overwork points to a headcount gap.
